Most people think of causes of low back pain as coming from injuries and/or heavy lifting. While these are causes of low back pain it’s more of life’s simple routines that cause low back pain. Some common examples are lifting your child, taking laundry out of the washing machine, loading and unloading the dishwasher, and making sudden quick movements. The reason these simple everyday activities cause back pain is usually due to your spine not being in its correct alignment.
Treatment for Low Back Pain
Chiropractic care is very effective for the treatment of low back pain because it treats the cause of the pain and does not mask the symptoms by medication. After a chiropractor treats the cause of your low back pain by gentle adjustments and therapies, you’re then given exercises to help rehabilitate and strengthen your low back.
Exercises for Low Back Pain
As we discussed after receiving adjustments to help gently realign the spine exercises are needed to help stabilize and hold the spine in its new position. Low back exercises can usually be accomplished in less than five minutes a day.
